Officers have released a CCTV image and are appealing for anyone with any information.

Detective Constable Clare Robinson, of GMP’s Trafford borough, said: “This was a completely reckless attack on a popular social club that could have easily resulted in devastating consequences.

“You can see the extent of the damage from the images we have released and I would implore anyone with any information to get in touch so that we can find the person responsible for this mindless crime.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 104 of Tuesday 9 January 2018, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
