The chairman said,” our interfaith iftari programme where we saw faith leaders and members from our community come together from different backgrounds to share a common platform.
Short speeches were given by a number of our guest speakers and then everyone ate together as we broke our fast.

Cllr Rabnawaz added ,” Absolute honour and a privilege to host the Manchester Council of Mosques (MCOM) community iftar at Manchester Central Mosque yesterday evening. It was an opportunity for the Muslim community to thank all of Manchester’s diverse communities of different faiths and beliefs for their support and solidarity following the Christchurch attack and during the month of Ramadhan and to specially thank GMP for all their efforts to keep our communities safe”.
