1st Annual Charity Dinner of Child protection and rehabilitation trust (CPRT) took place on Saturday, 23rd April at Nawaab restaurant in Manchester. The event received an overwhelming response and individuals from all walks of life attended the function. Both print and electronic media were at the gathering to cover the event.
Dr Aftab Ahmad and Dr Altaf Khattak gave briefing to the supporters and contributors of CPRT. Dr Ahmad highlighted the grave situation of young children working on garbage dumps in almost all cities of Pakistan. These children were forced out of their homes and schools to work under abusive and dangerous conditions by their parents and relatives. CPRT aim is to allow these children to have their childhood back and get a chance to be successful in life.
